So far so good…

After a rainy week the sun showed up today. Which meant I could finally put the recently desexed (6-8 weeks ago) lot into the main enclosure with the others. It was going to be a test as all three were established tom cats that had been breeding and no doubt fighting over females and territory before they came into care.

They all did so well and seemed pretty relaxed. There was a bit of tension building as I checked them on dusk but it was actually being instigated by Henry who has been out for a few weeks now. He was puffing himself up and posturing at Onyx! They will need to sort out the new pecking order though so hopefully without too many injuries or bent egos.

Its much better to get the males desexed as early as possible to stop the aggressive habits from forming.

They make much better pets too as they don’t smell, spray or display other unwanted traits.

The new boys on the block.. Onyx and Gus the two blacks hanging with Sunny (ginger) and Oliver (tabby)

Ronnie also got to experience the sun and freedom of the cat enclosure. He already chose his sleeping quarters for the night!
